Responding to shocks for food security, demand and supply by multi-layered crises, we are happy to launch “Peace for Food”, a new project that addresses the challenges for global food security, through a dedicated stakeholder dialogue:

Climate change, the pandemic and geopolitical conflicts have significantly overloaded food systems and created one of the worst food crises in history. It has become urgent to move from discussion to action if global food systems are to feed the world, sustain the environment, and enable livelihoods across the food supply chain. This session will allow members to:

• Hear from the OECD on the impact of the war in Ukraine on global food and trade systems;
• Inform policymakers from OECD and G20 countries on the current challenges businesses face in wake of recent food price hikes;
• Discuss policy actions to calm agricultural markets in the short term, and identify policy recommendations for making our food systems more resilient and sustainable in the long term;
• Build up private sector input for the upcoming OECD Agriculture Ministerial
