International Arbitration: Key Issues for Arizona Businesses

Description: The International Court of Arbitration ®, Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law and USCIB Arbitration Committee present a luncheon program on international arbitration. This luncheon program is ideal for anyone who does business internationally and would like to learn more about international arbitration and international dispute resolution.  The program will particularly focus on arbitration under the Rules of Arbitration of the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). Topics will include: Key issues facing Arizona companies in international arbitration; why companies should consider providing for international arbitration in international contracts; crucial provisions to include in contracts that provide for international arbitration—for example, to help save time and costs and to ensure that the arbitral award is enforceable; unique features of ICC arbitration and the latest news from the ICC International Court of Arbitration and avoiding common mistakes in international arbitration.
