USCIB/IOE Call on Proposed Changes to UN Global Compact Rules, Other RBC Updates

In collaboration with the International Organization of Employers (IOE), you are invited to a special joint meeting between USCIB’s Corporate Responsibility & Labor Affairs Committee and IOE’s Policy Working Group on Responsible Business Conduct on Wednesday, August 10th at 9:00am EST. Call participants will include representatives of IOE national employer organization members, IOE partner company members, and USCIB Members.
Included in the agenda will be a special discussion on proposed changes to the integrity mechanism of the UN Global Compact (UNGC). Specifically, a new mandatory grievance mechanism is being proposed. USCIB Members who are “UNGC participating companies” are especially encouraged to join this discussion.
Agenda:
- Important changes to the integrity mechanism of the UN Global Compact and the possible introduction of a complaint mechanism
- Developments regarding the work on a binding treaty of business and human rights (Ecuador process)
- Update on ISO Task Force on ESG
- Update of the ILO work on Supply Chains
- AOB
