USCIB Webinar Series: ILO Fundamental Principles and OSH

May 12, 2022 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

The 110th ILO ILC will be held in hybrid format this year, May 27 – June 11, 2022, online and in Geneva. The agenda can be seen here, and will include year-1 of a 2-year standard setting negotiation on apprenticeships, debate over whether to add occupational safety & health (OSH) as a 5th “Fundamental Principle and Right at Work,” and a likely dynamic presentation of a case alleging China’s non-adherence to ILO Convention 111 on workplace discrimination.

  • USCIB will lead the US Employer Delegation to the ILC, and we’re awaiting practical information from the ILO and the US Department of Labor regarding delegation sizes.
    • Please don’t hesitate to contact me at gherzog@uscib.org if you would like to learn more about possible participation.

Please join USCIB’s Corporate Responsibility & Labor Affairs Committee for a webinar series (April 25, May 3, and May 12, 2022) titled: “All You Need to Know About the ILO.” This series aims to brief USCIB Members on the workings of the ILO, USCIB’s role in it, consequential upcoming ILO procedures, and to gain feedback on USCIB’s strategic priorities for engaging within the only labor-focused UN agency. Brief descriptions are below, and more details can be found in the attached “concept note.”

To RSVP, please send an email to Diana Mendez at: dmendez@ilo.org and a calendar invite and log-in details will be sent to you separately.
