WIPO Conversation on IP and Artificial Intelligence

November 4, 2020

The International Chamber of Commerce Commission on Intellectual Property has a working group on Artificial Intelligence (AI) that has been participating in the WIPO conversations on IP and AI since 2019. WIPO has now announced that they will hold the 3rd installment of these events on November 4, 2020 (Details here). The AI Working Group is preparing a submission and will request to intervene during this session.

During this event, conversation will be focused on the following issues: Issue 1 (Definitions), issue 13 (Trademarks), issue 15 (Capacity building), and issue 16 (Accountability for decisions in IP administration). You can see more details about each one of these topics in WIPO’s Revised Issues Paper (attached).

FOR ACTION: You are invited to send comments or suggested questions for the consideration of the AI Working Group to Danny.Grajales@iccwbo.org with a cc to Ashley Harrington (aharrington@uscib.org) until October 15, 2020. A final draft version of the document will be shared with the commission.
