USCIB Hosts Delegation From Guatemalan Chamber of Agriculture

USCIB staff meet with delegation from Guatemala.

Leaders from the Guatemalan Chamber of Agriculture (CAMAGRO), the Association of Sugar Producers of Guatemala (ASAZGUA), and the National Coffee Association (ANACAFÉ), visited USCIB’s Washington office last week to discuss Guatemala’s actions to prevent and combat child labor. The group also discussed the country’s agroindustry supply chain programs and public-private initiatives, as well as overall trade, regulatory, and compliance-related issues in the region. USCIB’s Alice Slayton Clark, SVP, Investment, Trade, and Digital, Mike Rousek, VP, Customs and Trade Facilitation, Natalie Bidner-Swehla, Director, International Agriculture Policy met with the delegation, which was led by Carla Caballeros, Executive Director, CAMAGRO.

The meeting was arranged through the Guatemala labor association, the Guatemalan affiliate to the International Organisation of Employers (IOE). USCIB is the US affiliate of IOE.
